EVOO 20 I.P.A., Hazy Anniversary I.P.A.
After almost a month of planning, brewing and waiting, EVOO 20 I.P.A., a beer made in collaboration with Cambridge Brewing Company has arrived. We are going to start pouring tonight, this one-time-only brew will be available exclusively at EVOO, Za (both locations) and Cambridge Brew Company. Don’t hesitate, come on in and lift a pint or two in celebration of EVOO’s first 20 years.
Will Meyers, brewmaster and his brew crew at CBC were a pleasure to work with, their knowledge about and passion for making great beer is contagious.

We are proud to present a collaboration with our good friends, local restaurant pioneers EVOO here in Cambridge. Founded in 1998 by Colleen and Chef Peter McCarthy, EVOO – an acronym for Extra Virgin Olive Oil – is celebrating their twenty-year anniversary in style by brewing a beer with us here at CBC!
In keeping with their vision of organic, local and sustainable ingredients we brewed this beer using Massachusetts-grown and -malted heirloom barley, rye, and oats from our pals at Valley Malt in Hadley, MA. Chef Peter and his team joined us in sampling many different malts and multiple hop varieties, ultimately deciding on Citra hops with additional character from Falconer’s Flight hops. This double dryhopped IPA has all the haze and juicy hop character of New England style IPA’s and just enough citrus peel-like hop character in the finish to make this a well-balanced, food-friendly IPA.
It was a pleasure to have the EVOO crew join us on the brew day and we are proud to help our friends celebrate this momentous anniversary. Cheers to 20 years at EVOO!
